IDignity Osceola provides assistance to homeless, low-income, and other challenged populations in obtaining identification and other identification documents. Without state-issued identification, homeless, low-income, and other marginalized populations cannot fully participate in society.
The program was created to help the disadvantaged in Central Florida through the complex steps of getting personal identification. While Florida does not charge homeless or low-income the cost of an ID, individuals still must have the identification documents and have to cover the cost of those documents to obtain their ID. If an individual is receiving a driver’s license, the cost is also not waived. Obtaining these identification documents is an important step of the process.
